Making an emergency road kit, and checking it twice

AAA Traffic Safety Team

Temperatures are dropping, the decorations are going up, and excitement is in the air. Before you jump headfirst into the most wonderful time of the year, make sure your car battery and emergency road kit are prepared. By taking a few preventative steps now, you can enjoy your holiday season with peace of mind later.

Cold temperatures are hard on your car battery; be sure to schedule a free battery test with your AAA/CAA Membership at : aaa.com/battery before starting your holiday travel. A Battery Service Technician will come to your location (at home, work, hotel, etc.) to test your battery, free of charge. If needed, most batteries can be replaced onsite. And, if you become stranded in frigid temperatures, your Winter Emergency Road Kit can help you make it through an unexpected breakdown more comfortably and safely.
